Chief District Officer Khun Prasit Boonlikit lit incense & candle and then Khun Hua Hin Mayor Sirapan Kamolpramoth has thanked President of the Hua Hin Thai Culture Association Khun Tuck Dechapanya and Kalayanimit Club for organizing this merit event which will help provide food for monks in four southern provinces. Khun Prasit Boonlikit said that he is very pleased to see so many Hua Hin residents making merit to the monks from south. This food will be distributed between monks and villagers living in the unsafe areas of the south. It is very danger for the monks to go collect food in the morning from villagers in the south. Many monks and villagers lost their life. The leader of the monks initiated prayers and has blessed all the people taking part in the merit. Then all the monks have started to walk around Hua Hin residents to collect food. A chief Commander of Pranburi Infantry General Niwat Minayotin has sent fifty soldiers to help handling of the rice bags, dry and canned food which were presented to the monks.

On Saturday 22 March 2008 at 06.30 am President of Hua Hin Thai Culture Association Khun Tuck Dechapanya has organized merit ceremony for monks at Hua Hin Municipality School. In the ceremony for 329 monks took also part Kalayanimit Club, Hua Hin district officials and many thousands of Hua Hin residents.
