After closing time, all ballots boxes were gathered at Tessaban Baanbofai School for votes counting which was observed by election officials. It was reported that Pol.Sen.Sgt.Maj. La-Or Jongsri from Hua Hin Phalang Mai No.3 has received the most votes (2,689). In 2nd place was Mr. Pornthep Chanmuang No.2 with 2,234 votes. In 3rd place was Pol.Maj. Chaichana Chaipharit No.3 with 427 votes and in 4th place was Pol.Lt.Col. Jamnong Sawat No.1 with 337 votes. Statistically there were 13,325 eligible voters, but only 6,065 has voted (43.55%). 179 were voided ballots (2.95%) and 198 of no-vote ballots (3.26%). As soon as the results were known, Mr. Nopporn Wutthikul, Hua Hin Phalang Mai Group Leader has congratulated the winner from his group and has tanked all who helped organized the by-election and voters who took part in the by-election. Mr. La-Or, the winner, said that he would try his best to work for local. On Saturday 29 May 2024, from 08:00 – 15:00, at Municipal Zone 1 took place Hua Hin Municipal Bye-Election to replace Mr. Anan Boonthed who has passed away in April 2024. There were four candidates competing during the bye-election; Pol.Lt.Col. Jamnong Sawat No.1, Mr. Pornthep Chanmuang from Hua Hin Maisinwang Group No.2, Pol.Sen.Sgt.Maj. La-Or Jongsri from Hua Hin Phalang Mai No.3 and Pol.Maj.Chaichana Chaipharit, an independent candidate. In the morning of the bye-election date, there were a lot of eligible voters at 18 polling stations. The most busy polling station was the 8th unit at Paru rest house (901 voters) and the least busy one was the 15th at Phae Mai (454 voters).
