On 10 June 2007 there was an election in Pranburi District. A new Mayor and Member of Local Assembly were elected. Two parties were compiting: Thai Rak Thai with Mr.Pornthep Wisuthi Wathanasak and Rak Pranburi with lead by Khun Thayawee Sri-on. In the election 67.88% of Pranburi residents have voted.
All ballot were counted by 2am and Khun Thanyawee was a clear winner with 4,192 votes. Khun Pornthep has received 3,220 votes.
Khun Thanyawee has become a Lord Mayor of Pranburi and will lead a team of 12 Local Assembly members.
Khun Thanyawe is Khun Chaem Sri-on wife, he was representative to the Thai Parliament for two terms. He said that she always helps the people who have problems and now she will also act as an Auxiliary Judge in the Pranburi Provincial Court.
Khun Thanyawee said that now after she has won the election, her main aim is to help the Pranburi residens with solving their problems by implementing her ideas. Any Pranburi resident who has problem can call her any time.
