Referendum results for Prachuab Khiri Khan
On Monday 20 August 2007 the Governor of Prachuab Khiri Khan Khun Prasong Pitulkisja has announced results of the referendum in the province. 81.89% of votes were YES, 16.29% of votes were NO and 1.03% were void ballots.
All votes from the eight provincial districts were counted. The counting was observed by Governor, Khun Prasong Pitulkisja and crowd of the people until 2am when the counting was finished and results announced.
The Governor, Vice-Governors and government officials were delighted with smooth referendum voting process and the result of the referendum. Khun Prasong said that the local governments officials have worked were hard in order to ensure smooth voting; our people have woken up and have voted for democracy. I am very happy.
