Hydroponics / Solar farm in Hua Hin District

Get IT Co in partnership with PTS Progressive Engineering Co runs the country's first hydroponic solar farms. One of it's two hydroponic solar farms in Prachuap Khiri Khan province with 25 kilowatts of capacity operates in Hua Hin district.

All power generated at the farm is supplied to the Provincial Authority of Thailand, while the vegetables grown onsite are sold to local markets. Get IT says the company entered into a joint venture with Thai Diamond City in April to build Thailand's largest solar park at 100 MW, to be located in Kaeng Krachan National Park north of Hua Hin town. The solar park will not only deliver electricity to Hua Hin and Cha Am, but also save water usage from the hydro dam in Kaeng Krachan and increase the water availabillity in the area.
