Hua Hin Municipality organize seminar
'Welcome all tourists'
On Monday 18 September 2007 Hua Hin Municipality has invited owners of hotels, resorts, restaurants and travel agencies for a 'Welcome all tourists' seminar. The seminar was attended by about 200 local residents providing services to travel business.
Lord Mayor, Khun Sirapan Kamolpramoth has said that Hua Hin is a major destination for tourist traveling to Thailand. Tourism is very important for Hua Hin economy and the local travel business should do everything to welcome all the tourist visiting Hua Hin. All tourist should have pleasant and memorable stay in Hua Hin. If this is achieved, many tourists would return.
Khun Chamnan Puengjoh, a local journalist, gave a speech on local tourism in Hua Hin. He said that welcoming tourism is not only the duty of the local government; but all Hua Hin residents should do their best for tourists.
Khun Tuck Dechapanya, Hua Hin senior journalist spoke importance of Thai culture for tourism. He spoke about creating the right conditions for tourist, the footpaths should be clear of shopping stalls as they force tourist to walk on the road. He has expressed concern about high prices of food in Hua Hin in comparison to nearby districts.
In the afternoon Vice-Director of TAT in Lumpang Province Khun Jirarat Meengarm gave a lecture on how improve services and be the perfect host to tourist. She has shared her vast experience about tourism.
